Chiefs | Shields to work out, but hasn't decided future plans

Elizabeth Merrill, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs OG Will Shields plans to work out at Arrowhead Stadium within the next week, but he reiterated that he will not decide his future until early March. "I'm still hanging (out)," Shields said Wednesday, Feb. 15. "It's not going to be some revelation. It's not going to be that big of a deal

I am intrigued by that statement-
When you lose an 11-time Pro Bowler it seems to me it IS a revelation and a big deal.

I think it bodes well for him comig back. Why would you want to hang out, if you are done with the sport?

I think it bodes well for his return too, which surprises the hell out of me. I really thought he was done. The weird thing is, if DV was still here, I'd bet anything he'd retire. I guess he's just excited about a changing of the guard and the possibility of real change to the team attitude.

I really hope he stays. I bet he does one more year. Hoping he can win a championship.

Well hell if he's gonna stay another year and hope for a championship then I guess I will too.


Seriously, I think this is as sure a sign as you can get without the guy just saying it.
