That is what we call a "man crush."

Who cares. The important thing is Vickiel Vaughn just got selected 254 by SF. Arkansas is not shut out!

Say what you will, but Shanny figured a way to draft a potentially franchise QB while fielding a playoff team. His idea appears to be two years in the making, forgoing his first round draft choice last year in order to have two this year. Then with loads of draft picks in his larder making a series of trades to move up to the number 11 spot to take Cutler. Not genius, just good planning to fill a recognized need under circumstances in which you normally wouldn't have the opportunity. Then picking up a pro-bowl WR (another need) to boot. Smart moves. Now I'm left hoping Cutler never pans out, cause if he does he'll be a royal pain in our butt for a long time to come.

Denver had a great draft.

How do you figure Denver had a great draft?

Their best pick was the offensive lineman out of Minnesota.

They got a QB that isn't Jake Plummer, a huge WR with tons of upside, a pass rush specialist in the mold of Mathis from Indy, a good Center prospect that maybe shouldnt have been in the 6th, and a TE with potential that will certianly equal Jeb Putzier's production.

They got a QB that's damn-near a spitting image of Plummer when he came out, a huge WR with a bad knee wanting a HUGE contract, a pass rush specialist that can't play 4-3 DE, and a TE with nothing BUT potential.

Like I said, their best pick was the kid out of Minnesota.

I don't think Denver have really advanced. Their best move was Javon Walker, IMO, he should make a difference. But nobody else is likely to make a difference this year. As far as Cutler is concerned, I'm convinced that we got tons more value with our selection of Brodie Croyle.

I agree about value. I think Croyle is pretty darn close to Cutler, probably with more upside.

Denber getting Walker was the lesser of two evils in my book. Lendale White was still on the board when they traded the pick.
