This is the guy we should be trading for..

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers DL Anthony McFarland is reportedly available at the trade deadline. Seven different teams have said McFarland has been offered by the team. One general manager in the NFC claims the team is asking for a first-day draft pick in exchange for McFarland.
Talk about a perfect fit.

Uh, that would be sweet.

Yup. I agree. No higher than a 2nd rounder and that depends on his contract situation.

Lets pick a Booger!!!

Sure-Oz 10-15-2006 12:40 PM

Man all these possible trades and we won't even make a call for em!!!!

JBucc 10-15-2006 12:40 PM

Is he worth a 3rd rounder?

Coach 10-15-2006 12:42 PM

I wonder why TB is looking to move him?

Injury issue? Cap number too high?

Basileus777 10-15-2006 12:43 PM

Booger sucks, he isn't any better than Edwards. McFarland isn't even better than Chris Hovan, who is average. Booger is way overpaid as well. The Bucs run defense sucks for a reason. He isn't worth anything more than a 5th or 6th rounder.

Hootie 10-15-2006 12:48 PM

I don't know man...

I like to grow our own players, if you know what I mean. Look what happened to the Colts with Simon. I prefer building a team through the draft, and if we were to acquire a big name defensive player, I rather do it in the offseason instead of the middle of the season.

Yeah, I don't know if there's really any evidence to support it but I get the sense that Herm will be much, much better at developing young talent then his predecessor...

After todays DT play, I'd be willing to pull the trigger on Booger.

htismaqe 10-16-2006 07:59 AM

No. We've done enough trading away draft picks for older players. Not to mention the fact that DT's are one position where guys that change teams almost ALWAYS fail.

We have too many holes to trade away picks. In fact, we should be trading guys to GET picks...

That was prolly a knee-jerk response for my part, i think you are right, for whatever reason DT's do have a high failure rate after trades.

CupidStunt 10-17-2006 06:02 AM

Dude is a big (literally and figuratively) underachiever.

jspchief 10-17-2006 06:12 AM

I think he's a solid DT, but not spectacular. Probably better then half the DTs on our team.

I'm not sure he's worth a first day pick though, especially at his age.
