Kansas City was pretty lucky
 

Both of our franchises, Chiefs and Royals, had great owners. Lamar and Ewing Kauffman were fine men and great owners. You look back now, look at the sports complex - finest in the country, copied by many citites, our proud franchises traditions - while lacking recently have storied pasts. Be proud KC and lucky, we had two of the greatest owners that sports had ever known.

Bless LH and Kauffman. Kauffman won my heart in 1985 will be my hero because i grew up in the era and was tired of the yanks winning............

I follow the Chiefs because I still feel the odds will agree with us sooner or later as well as being a football junkie.
