<A name=367690>Chargers | Players under investigation for shoe fraud
Wed, 20 Dec 2006 07:26:15 -0800 Jay Paris, of the North County Times, reports members of the San Diego Chargers are being investigated for potential fraud, after a potential scheme to import imitation athletic shoes from China was reportedly uncovered by the Drug Enforcement Agency, according to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official. DEA officials initially grew suspicious upon learning the players were sending a significant amount of money to China. The DEA suspected it was investigating a steroid-smuggling case. However, the focus changed when the agency speculated the money was for imitation athletic shoes that would be sold as name-brand merchandise in the U.S. Once the steroid angle was removed, the case was transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement |
Those are probably the experimental Chinese run-fast, jump-high shoes developed by their military.

What's wrong with imitation shoes? Off the field Merriman is proud to wear his Mike's and Rivers is always seen working out in his Addiodas.

Too bad this news didn't come out a week ago. Cheatin Chargers!

Mary-man was obviously smuggling his designer roids into the country, in the arses of sweatshop workers, hidden in plaster garden gnomes. |
