NFL Network on Trent Green...
Said he met with Carl and they don't necessarily want to trade him. Offered him a new contract at a reduced rate.

Gay!!

The new contract at a reduced rate, will make him even more tradeable...
|
If Trent truely does not have an ego to feed he could sign and come in to next season to compete for the starting position. If he doesn't get it he will be a VERY nicely paid backup and I would like for him to start working with the PUP Croyle and help us devolop him into a starter that we all hope he can be. Trent has the chance to really show the class we all know he has by being a team player at the end of his career just as much as he was when he got here.
I think Carl is putting the ball in Trents court and its going to be up to Trent what he does from here. |
Looks like we're gonna have a QB controversy folks.
|
Great, Brodie will still be buried on the depth chart. If they wanted to keep Green they should have let Huard walk.
|
I have all the respect in the world for Trent no matter what he decides. I'm rooting for him to stay in KC... beat out all the competetion in the pre-season and win his starting job back... and then prove on the field that he isn't finished yet.
Go Trent. |

And if he doesn't win the starting job...mentor the new kid.
New QB coach in 2008 anyone? |

Good move, FO. Let Green look at the pictures with Croyle, and prep him, while Huard is getting his Gatorade.

Sounds good. Trent doesn't givashit about you thinking he's a "classy guy". That always gets under my skin for some reason. |
Green passed the phone to his agent. It was tipped and intercepted.
