Atlanta gives Highest contract ever for a fullback
Falcons sign fullback
By STEVE WYCHE The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 03/03/07 Although the Falcons didn't strike big in terms of name value, they struck quick and for two players who were released, they struck hard. Atlanta opened the free-agent period Friday by signing bruising fourth-year fullback Ovie Mughelli to a six-year, $18 million contract with a $5 million signing bonus, according to Atlanta-based agent, Todd France. The contract is among the highest ever for an NFL fullback. |
