With the acknowledgement of an era when Denver needed a sports superstar, Little was it. Long before the likes of John Elway and Terrell Davis ruled the Mile High city, Little's play on the field spoke for itself and it's time he got the recognition from Canton he so longly has deserved....

Basically Denver's version of Mike Garrett.

I'd never heard of him either. Turns out he has a career total of 8,000 total yards.

I'm not sure, but Floyd Little led the NFL in rushing twice. I think. Mike Garrett only led his team in rushing. To compare the two shows your age. You never watched either player.

The only real difference between the two is that Denver wasted a first-round pick on Little. The Chiefs got Garrett in the 20th round.

Only once. Garret was 2nd, 3rd and 4th on different years. Very similar career stats. Neither belongs in the Hall.

Among old Chiefs fans Johnny Robinson, Emmitt Thomas and Otis Taylor would all rank above Mike Garrett in terms of HOF consideration.

The Chiefs signed Garrett under the goalposts after the Rose Bowl, while people were still running all over the field. The only reason he went in the 20th round was the whole world knew he was already signed. Floyd Little put up 8000 yards for the worst team in football for years.
