Why the trade attempt for Seattles safety ?

There's no hole at safety, at least not with the starters.

You mean the alledged attempt at a trade that has never been confirmed beyond a single reporter in Seattle?

Until that story is substantiated, I call BS.

We're good at strong safety. Knight is versatile enough and I thought he got better throughout the season, and he'll be put to a serious challenge in camp by Pollard, who's going to make a splash in this league when he gets a chance to start.

Free safety is a little weirder. Even though I love his speed and hands, Greg Wesley is by far the weakest link in our secondary and there are plays when he's simply not in the game. Jarred Page has really caught on with the cover 2 and is turning out to be the Chiefs' steal of the decade, but I don't know if he's starter material yet.

That said, I think we're okay. I wouldn't consider it a hole.

Page will be starting and Pollard may as well.

Sammy Knight is so slow........that's another guy the Chiefs need to move on from, your safety shouldn't be slower than your LB's.

I think Page would have to amputate a leg to lose the starting FS spot next season....

I think Page is better suited as a SS in a cover 2 where a FS needs to be almost corner like, but we can make due for now.

What safety did we try to trade for? I thought that rumor was about Babineaux. Hasn't he been playing corner?
