2003 NFL Draft
 

Any one else find it sad that only two players from the 2003 NFL Draft are still with the Chiefs? I know most of them sucked and should be gone but really sucks to miss on that many picks.

1.Larry Johnson
2.Kawika Mitchell
3.Julian Battle
4.Brett Williams
5.Jordan Black
6.Jimmy Wilkerson
7.Montique Sharpe
7.Willie Pile

And only one of the two is a starter I mean it has only been four years and have that many picks all ready off the team...

It's not completely terrible, really. Mitchell might actually still be improving, but he's not a cover 2 MLB. Jordan Black was not a starting tackle, but he could be a fine guard if given the chance. Wilkerson is a good role player to have.

Well, 5 of them recieved significant playing time while a Chief.......thats about the best you could ask for. Honestly, ill bet if you did a quick survey around the league you could probably find about the same stats with their drafts too.

I think that's right. The Chiefs certainly aren't the only club that struggles in the draft.

I don't know you look at a team like SD all most all of there starters on both sides of the ball they drafted. I hope we can pull off another good draft like we had this year and start building threw the draft and stop over paying for FA's.

They also were selecting near the beginning of each round for years...

True but they were at least hitting on there picks DV screwed us when it comes to the draft it will take us a few years to over come all his misses. We have to hit more then we should have to just to over come what he did.

DV didnt like playing rookies. DV didn't care about the draft.

And we are paying for that with age and over pad vets.
