I don't know - they played the clip on the radio this morning and hyped it up so much saying shit like "I will never watch anything he is in again because of this" yada yada yada then they played it and it wasn't a big deal at all.

I mean, who hasn't snapped on their kids at some point or said something they might regret later?

People are making this a bigger deal than it really is.

MOhillbilly 04-20-2007 08:26 AM

what if she is a pig?

Redrum_69 04-20-2007 08:26 AM

They played this on 610am this morning when I was leaving for work

If only I would have accepted the role in the movie The Marrying Man...I would have ended up with Kim Basinger and we'd still be filming the 6th installment of 9 1/2 weeks

Did you listen to it? It seemed to me that maybe HE made a bigger deal out of it that it really was. I really overreacted, I think. Some of what he said was borderline abusive.

Really? You think saying those things, those specific words, are acceptbale and not a big deal? He basically threatened her.

How do you know this wasn't the 20th time his daughter had asked him to call her at that time and didn't answer? There's not really a way to tell if it was an overreaction or not without knowing complete context, but in either case again, I ask, who hasn't snapped and said something they didn't regret in the heat of the moment?

I'm not saying I agree with what he said at all. I'm just saying this is overblown because he's not the only person in the world who has snapped on one of their kids. People in the media and on the radio are treating this situation as if he murdered his own daughter.

Frazod 04-20-2007 08:31 AM

He's always struck me as a dick, but then again, I've said much nastier shit than that to people who didn't deserve it. Good thing I'm not famous, I guess.

I can't imagine what these people must go through knowing any mistake, lapse of judgment, or loss of temper is headline fodder. No amount of fame or fortune would be worth it to me.

WHAT THIS GUY SAYS OR DOESN'T SAY TO HIS KID IS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS.

It's funny because he is such a jackass!

I can see, by your defense of Baldwin, that you must be a jackass too! :)

True, but I'm guessing it was his own family who did him in.

*Pig calls Kim Basinger*

Pig: "Mommy, dad left me a terrible message! He called me a pig and yelled and threatened me!"

Kim: "Keep the message, do not delete it. I'll make him pay and make sure I have custody of you from now on."

*Kim posts message on internet*

I'm not defending Baldwin, I'm simply trying to say that the media is making this a bigger deal than it likely is. Who knows.

I actually thought that I was listening to my own dad when I heard it.
