Will Trent Green Make It?

Do you think Trent will play in 70% of the Dolphins' offensive plays this year? Isn't that the conditional percentage to go from a fifth to fourth round pick next year? He's at 100% right now, yes?

I wonder if he retires after he's benched again

I would, he's had a good run as pro QBs go. He's made some money and set himself up for life after football. I'd welcome him as a sportscaster, particularly in KC, any day. He can replace Harry Dick.

I doubt it. Their season will be in tank pretty soon.

Depends entirely on John Beck.

This is not a competitive team, and they're not going to sit Green for Lemon if this team isn't in the race, which they're clearly not. But if Beck has come along far enough, they'll bench Green before long.

I heard beck looked pretty raw during pre-season, doubt they would throw him in unless its an injury.

Rumor has it they are going to turn to Lemon REAL soon...

the Talking Can 10-01-2007 01:12 PM

looks less likely by the week, too bad...we'd get a very high 4th..

He so needs to quit; he's a shell of his former self, and I see no way he won't get benched. He SHOULD get benched.

I wish he'd retired last year. He may have even damaged his media marketability by going out a complete and total loser instead of a former stud ruined by a vicious hit.

He deserves much better, but in the end he's been his own worst enemy because he didn't know when to quit.

Green's supporting cast is awful but he doesn't look good

I know this is a subjective question, but how much difference is there in potential player quality/talent between the fourth and fifth rounds?

Well with the way Miami's playing right now... if we got their 4th rounder, it could be the 1st or 2nd pick to start off the 2nd day of the draft.

he's the same QB, he just doesn't have the HOF line anymore...

And if Green is benched and they end up 1-15 (or something), the fifth round pick would be when 1st or 2nd of that round, right?

So, as Chiefs' fans, it makes sense for us to hope that Green stays in and continues to lose, yes?
