Before the second half of the Chargers game I was thinking, how does the offense stand a chance against the good defenses in the league, and how can we be competitive against good offenses like Cincy, Indianapolis, and Detroit? Nine points a game, turning TOs into FGs instead of touchdowns... mediocrity might be wishful thinking.
But, that 15 minutes of fame yesterday afternoon showed me that not only can we take advantage of an opponent's implosion and win a game, we are the best team in the league. I'd say we're going to win at least the next 3 Super Bowls, but that might not be realistic. 3 of 4.
I mean, I thought the Chargers were going to win the next 3 SBs after beating the freakin' Bears in week 1; and then I thought the Lions were going to win the next 3 SBs after they went 2-0; and then I thought the Steelers were going to win the next 3 SBs when they went 3-0...... but I really think I'm right this time.
