Its the Offensive Line...
1. Solari needs to do some quality assurance checks on the OL coach. Solari was promoted from OL coach to OC because of the Chiefs' dominance up front. Rich Baldinger of Metro Sports did film analysis showing several of the Chiefs OLmen missing assignments - simple stuff - reads and responsibilities.
2. Simplify. All the motions and shifts are doing NOTHING. Get the OL and H-backs/TEs to stop thinking so much and start driving defenders down the field. That's what LJ was talking about last week. Too much thinking. Do the fundamentals well and the schemes will take care of themselves. Marty's #1 rule: don't beat yourself. That's what our OL is doing. 3. Use Bowe in the running game. Have him run the reverse or the WR screen. He makes something happen every time he touches the ball. 4. Practice more with pads. Period. The problem is not fixable (this season), it might be manageable. KCJ |
Please pass this on to Carl-that should fix everything.

I agree.
Dear Carl... |
Oh Really?? The O-line huh?? Thats a first for me today!
|
This is pretty shocking how poor they were today. Huard had excellent protection in the San Diego game.
|
I dont get how come they are better at pass blocking tha run blocking. Pass blocking is suppose to be alot harder than run blocking.

Correction: it's partly the offensive line.
I'll break it down real simple: we have no QB, no OL, no WRs outside of Bowe, a RB who doesn't give a sh*t, no DTs, no DBs and soft DEs and LBs. That doesn't even highlight the biggest problem of all: no coach, no GM, no owner. Dark future for this franchise. |

Maybe that's because we tend to focus on our weaknesses and not our strengths. I am in favor of Solari focusing on the OL and letting somebody else call the plays. |
