What's Up With DirectTV?
 

I go to pay my bill the same way I have for two years now using my phone number and they all pretend they can't find me without me providing them with all sorts of personal information. SS# different CC#s. Keep in mind they pretend to not even be able to pull up my account by me giving them my account number. :shrug: WTF?

This company doesn't have an oz of integrity. I'm dumping them when I move in 2 months.

Go dish Network!

They remind of Verizon just before I got rid of them. Zero customer service. Just a bunch of scandalous assholes.

I get nowhere on a phone anymore. I just pay using the net or through my online bank.

I love dish as well, my parents switched from dtv to dish after 2 years of bs from them, had it for hte past few years no issues

No it's done on purpose. They can't pull me up by my name, account number or phone number. They could do any of the 3 before. Then they start asking for a whole bunch of private information. It wasn't done on accident either. I used to be able to do this through their automated system which does all the same stuff this clown was doing now which is how I ended up talking to him.

If you got HD then go for that package deal off the site, that is what my gf did, got 1 free movie set channel free for 3 months and discounted HD programming on top of the top 200 or whatever for $20 less a month i believe, its been nice. So definetly get in on a new customer deal if you go into that.

Same here, 9 years and i havent had a bad run in with them yet. They have always been really helpful. Even got the HD receivers for a shipping fee only.

No idea, she pays the bill(her place), but i believe its $45-60 for dish top 200 channels plus 34 hd channels. I know its a $20 per month credit back (orig price i believe is $65 or so. I think her deal lasts a year i believe at that rate, which was perfect for her current lease. I know its not too much esp at the introductory rate. My parents i believe got the top 150 and hd channels and told me its not too expensive for them.
