Trade rumor
 

There is a rumor floating around Jets fansites about a potential trade of Chad Penningon and Laverneous Coles for a KC's 1st and 4th round pick. Personally as a Jets fan I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat, but I was wondering if you guys have heard this rumor at all and what your thoughts are.

I don't think the two of them are worth one fourth rounder TOGETHER, let alone a 1st and a 4th.

Hey I agree with you. Well, Coles is probably worth a 3rd rounder, but I was shocked when I saw a 1st and 4th and wouldn't put anything past Herm so I wanted to see what you guys heard.

A 1st rounder?? Not a chance. They aren't worth that TOGETHER.

Coles is worthy of a 3rd rounder? So basically Coles is better than Moss? Do all Jet's fans smoke crack?

Even Carl wouldn't do anything like that, and Herm can't over-ride Carl...

What is scary is the fact that KC has extra draft choices and will probably end up making a trade, hopefully it will be for moving up in the draft to get a true impact player. Not the proposed trade mentioned in this thread.

Moss went for a 4th rounder due to his locker room issues and the fact he was pretty much useless for 2 years. Owens went for a second rounder earlier, and Hell, we got a 1st and 3rd rounder for Coles the first go round.
