New Look BB

Am I the first to see the new look on the BB? I can't believe someone hasn't commented on it yet. While I think the overall look is great I have one problem (doesn't everyone have to have just one gripe?). Is there anyway to get the origional type size back? Sorry, but I am an Old Geezer :) . It's hard for me to read the smaller print.

But hey, I'm flexible. I thank Kyle for all the work he's put into this BB. Just wanted to hear what the rest of you all thought.

No, I saw it at about 2:00 this morning. It looks good, but the type is too small. Good work though. I wish more people worked at a computer from midnight to eight. It gets a little lonely here.

ExtremeChief 07-24-2001 05:13 AM

I like the look as well.... but it doesn't fill up my screen. Is that normal, or just something I need to change on my comp???

appreciating the hard work...

I must have the same look as you do ExtremeChief. I have approximately 1" black or dark green boarders on both sides of the screen. If we could lose that maybe the print could be made larger. :) Must go to work now. Check back later.

Old Geezer squinting and typing. :D

yeah, what they said...

Just wanted to echo the thoughts of the others...I like the sleek new look, but the font's a little too small for my eyes.

If you're using IE 5.5, you can enlarge the text size by selecting <u>V</u>iew, Te<u>x</u>t Size, then choosing one of the options.

Someone else will have to speak up about a Netscape/Opera/Lynx solution...

<font size="+4">Or we could all just start changing our font size in each message we post.</font>

Nope, that didn't work, at least for me. I've got IE 5.5 and changing the font view size does change all the ancillary text but does nothing for the Planet's default message text--it still appears the same size.

Looks like we all might have to post in the larger font-size to be seen

better...

Bob Dole 07-24-2001 05:58 AM

<font size=3>Strange. On Bob Dole's screen, choosing "larger" bumped the message text up a couple of points.</font>

Wow ... I wake up and everything looks different. I think I like it, though.

As long as I can get on easier from home and at lunch, then I have no complaints. :D

I tried to use the SIZE pulldown menu and had no success.

If you will bracket your posts with:

{size=*]text[/size}
Where * is the font size. You also have to type [ for the { and ] for the }.

This is SIZE=2
This is SIZE=3
This is SIZE=4

Ditto on the font size being too small.
Other than that, nice work!

Chief Henry 07-24-2001 07:10 AM

I don't mind the new look at all. By now most of you know that I'm not very tech cordinated. As long as I can posat some stuff I'll be fine.

I think!!!!!

Fat Elvis 07-24-2001 07:35 AM

Gotta love the speed though....

HC_Chief 07-24-2001 08:24 AM

Much better so far (performance-wise)

I like the font size...but then again, I'm <i>not</i> a geezer (hehehe) :p
