#21 stickers on the helmets...

I know that the other teams are wearing #21 stickers on their helmets for Sean Taylor. Why are the Patriots wearing #91 on their helmets? Anyone know?

Probably the guy that died this year in the Jet Ski accident. He played for the Pats. I think it was a jet ski accident. It was definitely something in the ocean.

Marquise Hill, their DE died before the season in a Boating Accident.

Thanks for the answer.

Why can they do this but Jake got in trouble for wearing Tillman's number on his sock? Or when someone (who it was escapes me right now) who wanted to wear the black socks in recognition of Namath (not sure on exactly who or why)?

Who is "Jake?"

Also, I think it was Johnny Unitas that died to cause the black socks thing.

Jake Plummer

Yep, it was Johnny U and I think it was Peyton who wanted to wear the black socks since it was also the Colts.

No he didn't. He died trying to save someone, a stranger yelling for help who had a jet ski accident.

Is Coach Nolan still being fined for wearing a suit and tie, instead of the appropriate NFL/Nike gear? That really pissed me off, and mad me like Nolan at the same time.

No, they worked that out. A coach can wear a suit so many times a year. Del Rio does it also.

jAZ 01-14-2008 07:54 AM

I don't know what happened this year, but last year Nolan worked it out to wear the suit every game. He had Nike make a "custom" suit for him. Looked just like a normal suit, but it was "Nike!" I guess.

They had a thing on Marquis Hill on "Inside the NFL" this week.
Real sad story. He has a teamate who has worn his (Hill's)shoulder pads in every game this year and is supporting his 2 year old son, his locker is intact.
The saddest part was where the mother of Hill's kid said when they are driving the kid sees a car that looks like Hill's and tells his mom to speed up so they can catch up and see his daddy.

Each coach can wear a suit twice a year from what I understand but only Delrio (Jags) Nolan (49ers) has done it that I know of since the rule was put in place.
