Colquitt Re-Signs per WPI
FWIW
http://kan.scout.com/2/732979.html Warpaint Illustrated has learned that Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt will remain in Kansas City at least through 2012. Today he signed a five-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but now that Colquitt has been re-signed there’s no chance he’ll hit the market as an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season. Thursday was the deadline for teams to sign restricted free agents to one-year tender offers. Colquitt originally joined the Chiefs as a third-round draft choice out of Tennessee in 2005. He struggled as a rookie, averaging just 39.4 yards per punt, but excelled over the next two seasons, averaging 44.3 and 45.5 yard per punt respectively. |
So he's really in Denver signing a new contract?

THIS IS THE SHOCKING SURPRISE
|
WHY THE HELL DO THE CHIEFS NEVER, EVER, EEEEEEEEVER RELEASE FINANCIAL TERMS OF THEIR DEALS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
|
Because of Carl Petersons ego and him being a cheap ass.
Also, good to see he's signed until 2012. He's a big part of our team with Herm's ****ed up offenses. |

Huh. I never realized that he struggled as a rookie. His distance wasn't all that great, but his hang time brought instant improvement to our punt coverage IMO.

Punters and FG Kickers... Herm's favorite offensive weapons.
