He's a ****ing fullback.

Are we really expected to put that much effort into a Blocking FBOTF?

He's not a LT, sign a blocking FB for one year just to have one...

He definitely doesnt fit our youth movement, but if he would be willing to take the vet minimum he could really help LJ. It doesnt make sense though for the simple fact that this will be a rebuilding year so whats the point.

Lets take him for a year, then once the show is over, take him out back and give him the old yeller treatment.

You sign him for one year because we have sooooOOOOOOOOOOOooo much to worry about already and they're all bigger needs than FB. If we can get a fairly cheap geezer to help open holes for LJ (considering we'll likely have a young and $#at line) and help protect Croyle (our QBOTF behind said $#at line after losing our 6th lineman Dunn) then why shouldn't we?

Apparently because Carl is on vacation?

I'd rather have Owen Schmitt.

Rauch is right. Sign him for a year(if we don't get Sapp), and let him show a rook how to blow open holes. Coudn't hurt.

preferably the rook I mentioned above. Yea I know we don't need two FBs, but in this offense we might. It would only be for a year.

Hopefully we get Cecil Sapp and spend that draft pick elsewhere.

I would be happy with either option.

Neal is 37, and told the Chargers that he wanted out because he didn't want to take reduced playing time in the offense. He would work as a 1 to 2 year stop gap, even though the 07 season showed a drop off in his ability to meet the linebacker in the hole. He keeps himself in great shape, and I don't know if he'll take the veteran minimum though.
