LB Calvin Pace?
 

Is he someone the Chiefs should go after? Seems like I have heard about him a lot.

He's definitely a solid player. He lines up at DE from time to time, too. I think he may command more than what we are willing to spend.

What's his history? Could he be a long term solution to our post Donny OLB situation? Maqybe in the OLB rotation this year and totally taking over after Donny leaves?

I think he's a guy who played last year for a contract. Once he gets it, he'll shuffle back into mediocrity.

Carl uses that logic with 99.9% of all free agents.

And then grossly overpays Dan Williams, William Bartee and LJ. :banghead:

Ha! There's a name I haven't thought of for awhile. Good old Dan Williams. Has anybody ever been rewarded for taking a year off of their jobs like Dan Williams? A highlight of Carl's regime, to be sure. :shake:

I remember when he was coming out of college. He was a high character kid that played DE in college, but was a bit of a tweener (DE/OLB). In a cover 2 he'd probably be best suited as a situational pass rusher.

My friends a Cards fan and he said that they used him as a 4-3 Linebacker/DE/Pass Rusher and he was almost cut. When they switched him to the 3-4 Linebacker/Run Stuffer, he was awesome. Apparently they really want to sign him again and he would not fit with our system at all.
