as far as private servers go, Shards of Dalaya is best.

This has a lot of information as well as the emulator software. But you must use someone elses EQ database. Some don't match up with the latest versions of the emulator, so it will take a lot of hammering out and dedication. It also helps to know how to code.

I was asking because I was thinking it would be fun to put together a small ChiefsPlanet one. Would anyone play it?

Man, I had some great times back in the day, before Luclin and everything else. I just don't think I have time for it anymore, not that I should fall back into that trap.

I think the lower levels were the most fun, falling off the bridges in Gfay, running terrified away from trains in Crushbone, doing that marathon run from Qeynos to Freeport, getting owned by that SOB Dragoon Z'ytl in west commonlands. Accidentally attacking the Priest of Discord. Some really good times.
