Herb Taylor is not bad

I've heard he has had a pretty good camp thus far.

And I watched the preseason game against the Bears, and he did well. What are your thoughts?

I think he is pretty solid.

And better footwork too who can bend and get down low.

I thought the same thing, but I still don't know anything (refer to post count) :D

Based on the preseason game, I thought he did pretty well especially since he did not practice much there. The holding was concerning though.

McIntosh IMO is in his last season as a Chief.

Theres no reason why we should keep him after this season, especially if we go for more Oline early in next years draft which I think we will (God I would LOVE to have Duke Robinson from OU).

I think Taylor is playing better than Mac, and I also think Richardson will be playing just as good or better than Mac by the end of the season. He's getting older and he has no more upside than what we've seen. He's not going to get any better as I think he's a player that has plateau'd.

We need another 2 good drafts before we can make a serious run. Still need another WR, at least 2 more OL on offense. CB or 2, 2 LB's, and a DE on defense. Not to mention a big hole still at QB if Croyle doesn't pan out.

The good thing about our O this year is you don't ahve to pass block like you did with the Air Saunders O. Rolling out, moving the pocket, mis-direction plays and bootlegs to the FB are going to help our tackles a ton this year simply by keeping the D on their toes and not being able to line up 9 in the box and know we will still hand it off tio LJ up the middle.

I would love to see this guy at RT when Albert gets back.

I wish Richardson would figure out his pass protection so he could give McIndouche all of the time on the bench he needs to rest his knee. Richardson already looks like a decent run blocker.

Taylor showed flashes last season, and I was hoping he'd be the RT this year....

Not Bad != Good.

blueballs 08-14-2008 10:15 AM

better than crap does not equal good /hitscrack

nychief 08-14-2008 10:15 AM

I saw him whiff on a block and the hold was a concern... but he looked better than Jordan Black, so well...er, that's good.

Chief Chief 08-14-2008 10:32 AM

He was better singing with Peaches back in the '80's.

BigCatDaddy 08-14-2008 10:36 AM

Thoughts about giving him a shot at RG?
