Mario Chalmers

Thought some of you would enjoy this excerpt from a Dwayne Wade Olympic article:

Quote:

Even half a world away, Wade has remained in touch with Spoelstra, Heat President Pat Riley and teammates such as first-round pick Michael Beasley.

"I think they're all pumped," he said. "I've talked to Coach Spo'. I talked to Coach Riles. Of course I've talked to my teammates all the time. I talked to Beasley the other night. He was probably on his way to work out. It was at night here; I was on my way to work out. I talked to him a while. He feels he has stuff to prove.

"I think everybody is excited. Of course, there's still question marks out there about our team and of course we have a rookie point guard and we haven't found a five-man and things like that, but we're going to let Coach Riley do his job at the top and with what we've got, we're going to make the best of it."

Wade raved about the potential of second-round pick Mario Chalmers, speaking as if the rookie out of Kansas already had been told he would be a starter.

I could see Chalmers being a long time solid pro. But, I don't watch much pro bball, so what do I know.

Same here.

NBA sucks.

Beasley, Chalmers and Wade could be fun to watch.

Molitoth 08-21-2008 09:48 AM

I might start to like watching the heat now that Shaq is gone, and beasley/chalmers is in.

Reerun_KC 08-21-2008 10:02 AM

What is this NBA you speak of?

CoMoChief 08-21-2008 10:49 AM

If you can play defense your gonna make it in the NBA..

Chalmers can also shoot the rock.

I predicted a long time ago that not only does he start, eventually he will be an Allstar and I think he can be as good as Chris Paul.

No I am not being a homer, I really think Chalmers is that good and probably was the best player on that Kansas team.

Havent been this excited since Hinrich went to the Bulls. (Bulls are my fav NBA team)

Chalmers was the best overall player. He could shoot, dribble, pass, score in the lane, score from the outside, defend.....he always had that "look" to him that he was just knew how to play the game and play it well.

Him and Russ Rob are the two I'm going to miss the most this year.

Russ Rob was a good leader but he couldnt shoot worth a shit though.

Just his poise on the court. The typical New Yorker attitude of not backing down from anyone.

I wish there was a way I could watch Heat games that didn't involved Satellite or CableTV. Some day there will be legit streaming sports over the Interweb and it will be grand.

I'm just going to take this opportunity and post right here. How do I disable signatures and avatars?

I just moved to a new office and it could become a concern here. Thanks.
