Ryan Lilja & John Tait
2 OT's, 2 starting OT's, 2 starting OT's on SB teams, 2 OT's that had a Chiefs helmet on at one time.
I still cannot understand the thinking behind any of it. That shows Carl's lack of foresight. Carl deals with the Chiefs when he "has" too. |
Lilja is a guard actually.

Hey Boo Boo, what do you think is in that pic-a-nic basket?
|
tait is so over paid....
|
Really it's just 2 bad decisions on top of 50 others.

Tait didn't want to stay AND the Bears made his contract unmatchable. And we tried to sneak Lilja onto the PS, so we clearly wanted to keep him. Obviously, it didn't work.
Guess what? It's life. Get over it. |

Let's face it, that is the biggest **** up on his part. He made the biggest mistake in investing...he fell in love with a position. He was hooked on our old O-line that he was hellbent to hold it together. The man was so dillusional he held a roster spot open for an entire year for Roaf, even after Roaf told him in no uncertain terms that he was done. |

Those are two VERY BAD decisions. And considering the state of the team, particularly with Lilja, he had no business doing it. But hey, I just want to win. |

If you can play good enough to protecy pretty boy Peyton, you can play here. |
The Chiefs have in general had very very little foresight when it comes to making decisions, it's been that way for a long time.
Olinemen generally play at a high level for a long time, those are guys that should get 2nd contracts...RB's and CB's shouldn't....this is a team that paid guys like Eric Warfield and Jerome Woods. |
Carl R0x0rs. LOLZORS
|
Lilja is the one that really hurts. We'd have three serviceable lineman right now instead of just two. That makes a hell of a difference. It's gonna be damned hard to fix this line in just one more offseason.
