Clay Aiken is finally gay.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Clay Aiken is finally confirming what many people suspected: He's gay.
http://i2.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2008/SH...y.aiken.ap.jpg "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken has rarely addressed rumors about his sexuality. The cover of the latest People magazine shows Aiken holding his infant son, Parker Foster Aiken, with the headline: "Yes, I'm Gay." The cover also has the quote: "I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things." The magazine has an interview with Aiken and confirmed that he was on the cover but refused to release the article until Wednesday. The baby's mother is Aiken's friend and record producer Jaymes Foster. Aiken, who gained fame as the runner-up on "American Idol" in 2003, rarely addressed the frequent rumors about his sexuality. He said two years ago, "I don't really feel like I have anybody to answer to but myself and God and the people I love." The multiplatinum singer recently released the CD "On My Way Here" and made his Broadway debut this spring in "Monty Python's Spamalot." |

Okay. I've gotten used to the fact that people answer Mr. Donger's incessant questions but they rarely answer mine. But, I don't take it personally because everybody knows that my questions are much more difficult.
Anyway, I asked this one on the other "Clay Aiken Is Really and Truly A Gay Man" thread and received nary a response, so I'll ask it here in the hope that this thread attracts the peeps more knowledgeable on the subject of Clay Aiken's extreme gayness. Why did he not wish to come out before? What's the big deal? Why was it so important for him to keep it a secret? FAX |

So, he thought he would be less popular? Sell fewer records?

I'm not shocked that a KU fan would find that Clay Aiken is finally gay.

Don't care. He has a nice sounding voice, though.

Well, it seems to me that Clay Aiken is a homophobe. First of all, nobody cares if he's gay or not - except maybe his dad. Second of all, lots of gay people sell lots of records - I mean, look at Elton John. Third of all, he's doing theatre now (there are no gay peeps in the theatre?).
If he didn't come out before because he was somehow ashamed or thought that people would not like him anymore or they would not purchase his CDs or pay for his shows, he's an unfortunate, sad dumbass on top of being gay. I, therefore, hereby declare Clay Aiken to be a sad, gay, unfortunate dumbass. FAX |

Something else that bothers me is the fact that gay people have completely co-opted the word, "gay". That was a perfectly good and useful word before those bastards took it over.
"Gay" described a person or mood that was happy and carefree. Ironically (and, although I'm sure there are many, many exceptions), a lot of the homosexuals I know spend a crapload of money on therapy and are far from what you might call happy and are rarely, if ever, carefree, so it doesn't even make sense they would use that word. The fact is that there are lots of words they could have taken that aren't used very often like, "gliriformites" or "valetudinarians" or maybe "passulationists". That way, we could still use our word when describing parties or fun people and they could have a word that basically wasn't taken by anybody else. FAX |
