Cracks me up.... its all decked out in Chiefs shit still.

I kinda feel for the guy being a defensive rookie of the year and all that talent just to go splat like he did. Bet he never thought it would turn out like it did. Cash in one one last payday from the Chiefs and off.... never to be heard from again.

The hardest hitter in the league is now the hardest hitter on the web.

No, you cannot make that stuff up.

Report: Chiefs franchise DE Allen

Posted: February 18, 2008
Sporting News staff reports

The Kansas City Chiefs on Monday designated Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen their franchise player, according to a published report.

The Kansas City Star reported on its website Monday night that the club will offer Allen a one-year, $8.9 million contract, the average salary of the five highest-paid ends in the NFL in 2007.

The Star reported that Allen's agent, Ken Harris, and Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson both confirmed the designation had been made. Neither man would comment further, the Star reported.

Allen led the NFL with 15 1/2 sacks last season.

I had such high hopes for Kendrell when the chiefs signed him. I really did.

Unfortunately, a good friend of mine, a big, big steelers fan, hated to see him go as well.

He did however warn me that he could be damaged goods. His shoulder got messed up in some game way back when, and he hasn't been playing with the level of intensitive since then, just saying, he added.

May the god of football prophets come down and give an explaination point to that statement. The chiefs got so ripped off on that deal, i'm ashamed our scouting department (mecca for president?) didn't see that. Or overlooked it greatly.

haha this was in his Q&A section

Hi Kendrell, what are your thoughts on new head coach Herm Edwards? Do you think he can help make the defense a little more dominant? thanks
By Jeff From Olathe, KS

"Coach Edwards is a great addition to our organization. I've played against the Jets when he was their coach and I can honestly say that few teams were as physical as the Jets during his tenure there. He brings a lot to the table, he's encouraging, and knows what it takes to win. I definitely believe our defense will continue to get better and become dominant."

He passed a physical, Mr. Fairplay. To be fair on this deal, we may have to blame the doctor. Come to think of it, maybe it was the one whose leg was broken in that game the other day. If so, it would be highly ironical. Karma can be strong and scary.

Well attended website. Or not. It needs to be severely updated. Notice the link to buy merchandise, with his jersey showing.

What's really sad is that he'd probably be our 2nd best linebacker right now.

Braincase 09-26-2008 05:30 PM

I figured the hardest hitter in the league was either Nate Newton or Bam Morris.

Damn, neither of those guys are in the league now. Maybe Kendrell and his one good shoulder be the hardest hitter.
