House Cleaning

Looking at the current coaching staff got me to thinking. Are there any coaches on the Chiefs staff that would be worth keeping.

Right now I could maybe say Eric Price.

Head Coach - Herm Edwards
Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers - Gunther Cunningham
Offensive Coordinator - Chan Gailey
Offensive Line - Bob Bicknell
Assistant Head Coach/Quarterbacks - Dick Curl
Assistant Offensive Line - Joe D’Alessandris
Tight Ends - Jon Embree
Defensive Backs - David Gibbs
Defensive Assistant - Michael Ketchum
Defensive Line - Tim Krumrie
Running Backs - Curtis Modkins
Offensive Assistant/Quality Control - Kevin Patullo
Wide Receivers - Eric Price
Special Teams - Mike Priefer
Assistant Strength and Conditioning - Brent Salazar
Strength and Conditioning - Cedric Smith
Manager of Football Operations/Player Development - Nate Wainwright
Defensive Quality Control Assistant - Daron Roberts

Price
Krumrie
Give Gailey a shot without Herm.

Everyone else -- firing squad.

After more thought I think maybe keep Jon Embree around too. Seems like the even the young TE's play leave me with nothing to complain about.

Priefer is actually a very good coach. Our special teams have improved notably this year. I think he's worth keeping around.

Gailey is a turd he goes out with the trash , all you have to do is look at Dallas run run run punt , Gailey has his own reasons why he was out of football

dump every single one of them and start fresh, from gm down.

The new coach is probably going to want his own guys anyway, so this is pretty irrelevant. The only reason we didn't have immediate turnover under Herm is because Carl wanted to keep the offensive staff intact.

I actually think Gibbs may warrent a look as well.

The D-backs have actually been pretty good. Flowers and Carr have been strong, Pollard has made great strides. All three of those guys look well coached. Paige does too, he just has sand in his vag so that kinda screws that up. If he'd hit somebody, he'd be a decent player as well.

If we had to trash the whole coaching staff to get a new head coach and a new GM......then trash the whole coaching staff.

Agree on that point.

It is also not uncommon for a new head coach to keep just a few of the previous staff around.

Exactly.

When Herm goes, they all go.

Micjones 10-07-2008 11:04 AM

Cedric Smith definitely needs to go.
This team doesn't appear to be very strong or well conditioned.

Who should be gone, everybody....even the secretary and the janitor!
