Damon Huard to the Patriots? Christ Mortenson of ESPN said it's possible, not probable, but possible.

He said the Tony Gonzalez trade to the Giants is 50/50. Also, the Giants didn't call the Chiefs. The Chiefs called the Giants about the trade.

He didn't say anything about LJ or Pat Surtain specifically. I'd love for the Chiefs to trade PS for just about anything. He did say that Jerry Jones may be looking for a CB. We've got good young talent at CB and can do without him IMHO.

Also, I'd hate to lose LJ, but would be willing to see him traded. The RB position also seems to have some good, young, up and coming talent, so he would be expendable in the short term.

As for Tony Gonzalez, it would be a travesty to see him traded. He's a future Hall of Famer. You just don't trade a FHoF player if you drafted him and have a chance to have him retire with your team. I just can't see it.

But, Mort did say that the Chiefs are probably wanting Shockey type compensation, which would be a 2nd and a 5th. He said that Carl doesn't want to lose TG, but TG wants to leave and play for a contender.

Lastly, he said the Lions might trade Roy Williams.

Great, so Thigpen will be our QB after the 1st quarter Sunday?

Why would anyone care? Huard sucks ass, just like Thigpen. They might put their mouths on slightly different parts of the ass, but they're both sucking.

I don't ever recall seeing many trades made during the season in year's past. I'd be surprised if any deals are actually made.

You've got to love the fact that all of our top players want to leave because of the management. TG, LJ, Trent, Jared. I'm kind of surprised that Derrick Thomas' widow isn't calling up to see if Derrick can get traded and go into the Hall as a Buccaneer or something.

It's not rebuilding when good players actively avoid playing for you. It's just destroying.

When Chris Simms was in and left without a contract and now we are talking about trading Huard, one must ask where Carl gets his shit and can I get some?

Rebuilding or not, i'd take anything anyone would give us for Damon Huard.

What would you even ask for Huard?

A cup of warm piss?

I predict the Chiefs make no trades before the deadline.

Not exactly a bold prediction, I know.

I bet they're interested in trading Huard because they plan to develop their own quarterback. Because, you know, Carl and Herm have a great record and history of developing quarterbacks.

Maybe Belicheat is going to leave a flaming bag of poo on Carl's doorstep, and to return the favor Carl's giving him Huard?

Can we trade Huard for some magic beans?
