Remember July?
Try, if you can, to think back to when you were so excited for it to be time for training camp. Recall, if you will, sitting down to watch that first preseason game where we actually won. All of the hope. All of the anticipation.
*Sigh* Well. That was nice. Who's ready for the Mizzou game this weekend? |
i never would have imagined the herm/gailey era would be more predictable than the herm/solari era..i was wrong
|
|
I'm ready for both games. (Chiefs and Mizzou)
I'm a glutton for punishment. And if Mizzou finds a way to win at Texas, they're right back in it. |

I remember July, but I don't remember there being any hope that this season would be better than last year.
|
In July, I was lounging on the porch of a beach hut in Madagascar, watching whale spouts off in the distance and writing anti-Carl and anti-Herm slogans in the beautiful warm sand.
|
well i thought this year would be tough to watch again. most of us are hurting because we haven't seen results of the rebuilding effort yet outside of a handful of guys who have shown a few flashes.
mostly i am disappointed in the coaching and how conservative it's been. what are we afraid of losing games? we're losing games anyway, take some risks, give these young guys a chance to go out there and win a game. |

I hope Chris Johnson torches the chiefs sunday though, he's on my gf's fantasy team |
Disapointments of life .. Ski the bumps I was told ... Think I need bigger skis ...
|
I remember how excited I was for Chiefs football, then I remembered that Herm can and will strip all hope out of the fan base, because he can... All I can remember is Herm telling me to GET OVER IT, IT HAPPENS, ITS CALLED LIFE!
Thankfully we have KU, MU and the Big 12 to root for.... |
July is like Christmas eve for football fans. We've been waiting months and months for the season to start.
Then when the preseason's over and Christmas morning arrives we all realize that we've gotten socks and sweaters yet again. |
