For those of you who thought Quinn...

could be had for a 3rd (lol @ that by the way)...

The Vikings reportedly offered their first-round picks in 2009 and 2010 in exchange for Brady Quinn.
This comes from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune's Charley Walters, who isn't exactly a spot-on source. He doesn't say when the offer was made. Still, if the Browns passed on such an overwhelming trade it confirms their continued concern with Derek Anderson. Walters suggests that the Quinn deal could be resurrected after the season, or the Vikings could pursue Anderson.

The Browns not taking that is so awful

Deberg_1990 10-19-2008 10:50 AM

If thats true, that means the Browns have SERIOUS doubts about Anderson.

They refused back to back #1 picks?? Wow...

I saw this earlier today, and am still in shock. Assuming it's true.

Cleveland is beyond reeruned.

Really?

I think Quinn is going to be the starting QB as soon as next year...and I think the Browns can get a 3rd or something out of Anderson.

Obviously they think of Quinn as their franchise QB.

Hootie 10-19-2008 10:51 AM

and what is up with the Vikings? They must not like draft day very much...

Sure-Oz 10-19-2008 10:52 AM

If true, dumbest NON move in history by Cleveland

Hootie 10-19-2008 10:53 AM

I guess I disagree.

I think 4 first round picks in the next 2 years would do more for the Browns than Brady Quinn can by himself.

I guess Cleveland believes the QB is the most important position on the field...

What does that tell you about the Vikings feelings about T. JAckson, their previous 1st round pick. At least Croyle was a 3rd rounder.

Jackson was a 2nd rounder. Last pick of the 2nd round in 06.

Great. Let the Vikes have him.

I just dont agree with you on this. QB is the most important position on the field, and they have a QB who has been absorbing the offense from the sideline and getting ready when he gets a shot. I think he is going to be a great QB. Cleveland is not that bad, they have been playing terrible, but they need a QB and they have one waiting in the wings. Besides I don't think they would want the salary hit of four first round picks IMO.
