3-4

DE- Dorsey, Tank, Boone
NT- new players
OLB- Babin, Hali, Gatewood, Studebaker
ILB- DJ, Boiman, Edwards, Williams, (Kendrel Bell :p)

Of course new players would need to be and should be added. But we are the worth in the NFL and there is no better time to change if we do. I know Herm wont do it, but what are your thoughts on it?

I'd love to see us go to a 3-4.

ChiefsCountry 12-14-2008 07:44 PM

Dorsey is not a 3-4 end. He is our future - ****ing no more 3-4 posts. We are not ****ing going to that defense.

I know we aren't, I'm just curious who would fit and who wouldn't since it seems to be a hot topic.

We have two players that are suited for the 3-4. McBride as a 3-4 end and Babin as an outsider rush backer. Thats it.

While I agree with the general idea that we're not built to go to a 3-4, I think the list of 3-4 guys is bigger than you assume. I think the poster is correct when placing Hali OLB. I actually think he could be a monster in that role. More so than his current role, at least.

Why?Dorsey was drafted to play DT. He is going to play DT, why move a short fat guy to DE?

dallaschiefsfan 12-14-2008 09:33 PM

In a 3-4, he'd get mauled as a NT...so it's the lesser of two evils. The best answer is that he's simply not a 3-4 system player

A lot of guys are drafted to play one position and are moved. Hes also the right size to play DE in a 3-4 as well as UT in the Tampa two, which is what he was drafted to be but instead we are playing him at NT.

no 3-4

Sorry, no. You don't draft a guy in the top 5 as a 4-3 DT, then move him to a 3-4 DE. Makes no sense.

Mecca 12-14-2008 11:43 PM

Richard Seymour was a college DT in a 4-3 and a top 10 pick...not that that makes the Chiefs going to 3-4 a good idea.

Also Tamba Hali playing OLB is a really really funny thought.

LiL stumppy 12-15-2008 12:30 AM

Didn't say it hasn't happened, but it's dumb.
