Stafford vs Bradford- part... very high number

Is any of their stock changing as we get closer to the end? Whos better Pro and why?

I know I know... REPOST!

Things won't change much until the combine. However, it will be interesting to see how Bradford performs against the speed of Florida's defense.

Pretty sure Stafford's stock over Bradford would only climb after the combine if they both decide to come out.

I'm looking forward to watching Stafford in the Capital One Bowl.

Hope that in workouts Bradford is better than expected if you want Stafford because I'm not sure any QB can beat Stafford in a combine style workout.

What you need to hope for if you want Bradford to go higher is he tests good enough while having the better stats so the Lions go "hey we like him more cause he produced more"

Josh Freeman will destroy every QB in COMBINE workouts and he and Stafford will be the likely only two that compete out of the big 3. Bradford probably won't because he doesn't have the strongest throwing arm. Stafford and Freeman have cannons and can only help themselves. I bet Freeman has the highest wonderlic score of all the QB's.

I think the Lions will go for a QB through FA or trade since they have a multitude of holes, and their fans want a quick fix.

when your practically 0-16
nothing is out of the question

From what I've watched, Bradford is great at fitting the ball through tight windows, especially on 15-20y passes. Very accurate. Stafford has a great arm and may have better upside, but haven't seen as much of him as I'd like to; bad o-line and receivers hold him back.

If we were to pick Bradford we shouldn't start him in year 1. Actually, they both need a little polishing.

RustShack 12-24-2008 01:59 AM

You've seen Bradford throw it in a tight window?

The TD 20-0 against Nebraska (downfield into double coverage on a rope)
The TD 34-28 against Texas (from under center. Rollout. On the run perfectly in the corner of the End zone)

Spring to mind but there are lots more.

Really? Seems to me his passes are always to wide open recievers.

Yes. When he needs to go downfield he can. It might not always be visible because OU's receivers are good at getting open. IMO better than Stafford at fitting it between whoever has immediate coverage and the safety, but I'll give Stafford the edge on throwing the deep ball which is Thigpen's biggest problem.

BigChiefFan 12-24-2008 08:26 AM

Why in the Hell would we want the Lions to take the better of the two QBs, so we can have Grbac part two.

topher79 12-24-2008 08:47 AM

Say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to Stafford.
