Another season and another Super Bowl-less year for the AFC West.
The AFC West has the longest Super Bowl drought of any division in the NFL. It was the case going into the season and it officially continued when the San Diego Chargers were knocked out of the playoffs Sunday in Pittsburgh.
Here is a look at the last Super Bowl representative for each division:
AFC East: New England (2007)
AFC North: Pittsburgh (2005)
AFC South: Indianapolis (2006)
AFC West: Oakland (2002)
NFC East: New York (2007)
NFC North: Chicago (2006)
NFC South: Carolina (2003)
NFC West: Seattle (2005)

Here is the last time each AFC West team advanced to the Super Bowl
Oakland: 2002 (L)
Denver: 1998 (W)
San Diego: 1994 (L)
Kansas City: 1969 (W)


And we are the worst. Let's get that 1969 changed. We need it.

This is really a silly idea for an article...

It shows how terrible we are. Sure the Chiefs have been to the playoffs and have had "winning" seasons. But that isn't what it's about. We need to WIN SUPER BOWLS. That's it. That's what defines how good a team is.

And I bet our division has more Super Bowl wins that all of them expect NFC East.

Our division is tied w the afc north, afc east and nfc west with 6 super bowls each. The nfc east spanks everyone.

It's also screwed up because of the restructuring of the divisions.

Somebody was hurting for something to write about.
