Tradeback ?

If we were to trade back with say the bengals or 49ers so that they could get crabtree before Seattle, what kind of compensation would we be receiving? Im just curious because I have seen this discussed frequently on the planet. I know that trades in the top 5 are pretty infrequent, but just been wondering lately.

Thanks

To trade up from #10 to #3 a team would need to compensate with a) next year's 1st plus this year's 2nd b) two 2nd's this year c) a 2nd a 3rd and next year's 2nd.

Something in that range.

Which is why it's unrealistic to expect trades out of the top 3. You will never see a Ricky Williams type trade again.

If we are gonna trade down we better get ray maualuga and pass on Crabtree.

As is, our O can put up enough points to keep us in a game. Our D could not stop an AFL2 team.

No one is going to want the pick.....the Dolphins wanted to get rid of their pick last year..had no takers.

I doubt that chart is still valid these days.

Or their 7th round picks for the next 100 years or so. Don't forget about that possibility.

Think about it. When that chart was made the salaries were no where near what they are today. Why do you think you do not see as many top pick trades as there were in the past?

Sure money plays in but most teams don't want to trade away 8 draft picks.

I doubt they would move up for a WR, it would be for a QB or one of the tackles.
