Browns hire Kokinis as GM
 

Today's KC Star newspaper announced that the Browns had hired George Kokinis as their new GM. The bigger issue for me was the following statement that they would hold a press conference today to announce the hiring.

I was under the impression that there were to be no hirings or firings or any other news conferences during Super Bowl week that didn't pertain to the Super Bowl itself. Guess we could hire Cowher or Shannahan or whomever and announce it immediately as long as they weren't actual participants.

I think Super Bowl week officially begins when both teams arrive in Tampa today.
