Schefter is on with Petro and said that on the Friday that the Shanahan rumors broke, Nick "The Erroneous One" Athan emailed Schefter's network, and the email, in all caps, said, THE DEAL IS DONE.

According to Petro, Athan called 810 and said Schefter was not providing a fair representation of the email exchange.

Said Schefter was linking Nick with Mort. Not really how it worked. Nick sent an email to Adam saying it was Shanahan because of reports on ESPN and then sent later emails when he (Athan) was hearing other things.

I'm not sure what the issue here is. Nick didn't report anything that wasn't accurate. For Schefter to reveal private communication like that is pretty low. Schefter is a POS.
