CP Mock Owners: Time to vote.
Voting is complete. There will be no trades between owners, and compensatory picks will be added regardless of whether the NFL announces them in time or not. We start the draft in 2 weeks. See you then.
Time to vote on two suggestions - the ability to trade picks, and the addition of supplemental picks. Proposition T: Ability for owners to trade picks. The following rules will apply if Prop T passes: 1. No trading for players, just picks. 2. All trades must be within reasonable reach of listed value. Keep it realistic. 3. Only 2009 picks can be traded. 4. Trades are prohibited between your two teams. 5. Once you are "on the clock" you have 4 hours to announce your trade, and the owner who traded for the current pick has whatever is left of the 24 hour window to announce his selection. 6. Actual NFL trades that occur before we start the mock will take precedence over any trade that may take place between owners. Proposition S: Addition of Compensatory Picks Passing of Prop S will add compensatory picks to the mock. If the NFL happens to announce these picks before the mock reaches the end of the 3rd round, we'll use the official picks. If not, there are several draft websites that do a very good job of predicting who will get what, and we'll use what the Commish (me) feels is the most realistic. Please cast a vote for each scenario, official/unofficial. (FWIW, I think there's a good chance the compensatory picks will be announced in time for us to use them. Typically, the league announces the picks on the 2nd day of the Annual Meeting, which would be March 23rd this year - three weeks after starting the mock.) So, please make your voices heard and vote on the above propositions. Votes will not be accepted after February 23 - which means you have 2 weeks. A minimum of 9 votes are necessary for each proposition to pass. |
No on Proposition T.
No on Proposition S. I would vote for a Proposition S that proposed to add compensatory picks ONLY if the NFL announces these picks prior to the mock reaching the end of the 3rd round. I voted no due to the current proposal's allowance of unofficial compensatory picks. |
FWIW, I think there's a good chance the compensatory picks will be announced in time for us to use them.

I would love to be able to trade picks but I think one of two things is going to happen.
1. Teams are going to get trade happy. 2. It's just going to end up confusing everyone. No on Proposition T. Yes on Proposition S. |
