Oh jesus christ.

Only the Chiefs would keep a DL coach that presided over the worst sack total in league history.

shakesthecat 02-17-2009 05:38 PM

Good f'in grief!

I've got no problem with Gailey, but Krumrie?

Has any player he's coached ever gotten better?

'Hamas' Jenkins 02-17-2009 05:38 PM

That's strike one.

Mecca 02-17-2009 05:39 PM

Where's that guy to tell is Pioli is the man and we can't judge him?

HMc 02-17-2009 05:40 PM

early post in legendary thread

Apparently the theory that strength and conditioning deficiencies led to an above-average rate of injuries has not been embraced by Pioli and Haley. Of course, Haley is probably going to simply insist that injuries will not be tolerated so that should fix that.

I'm not on the ledge just yet.
I realize that the Defensive Line woes was largely a matter of not having the talent.
Sure... McBride's a Day 1 pick, but that hardly means he should've been.

missinDThomas 02-17-2009 05:48 PM

look at this way...if gun was right then it is all herm's fault not tim's

DeezNutz 02-17-2009 05:48 PM

I posted this in the other thread, but I'll say it here, too.

Keeping Slap Dick seems to be a strong statement by Pioli that he thinks the talent level is a joke, and it's possible that he's not high on Dorsey.

10 sacks is talent or coaching, and this move suggests Pioli is saying it's the former.

Perhaps with the right D-Coordinator our D-line coach will be better.

Perhaps. Not for sure, not even likely, but perhaps.

And I honestly think that's a huge factor in how bad this line was.

I guess. Dang.

Pioli said he wanted to evaluate the performance on tape with the information of what the coaches were asking the players to do.

I would have loved to have heard how the film sessions went down for the D-line. Obviously, he must have been satisfied with the explanations he was given.

Wish he'd share, cause this looks like shit from the outside.
