Advice needed.... Working from home

My Fiance is considering taking a job working from home with

http://www.careerbuilder.com/JobSeek...rrecovery.com/

She meets or exceeds all the qualifications, just trying to determine if it's a viable option.

Like everyone nowadays, we're just trying to make the right decisions, if anyone has any experience with this company or something similar; you're advice / experiences would be very helpful.

Lol.... Funny how some of the best advice I've gotten has come from this board. Say what you will.... There are some good ones on this board.

LOVE THE KNUCKLE HEADS THOUGH!!!!! :D

Thanks again Planet....

She's gonna be collecting bills from home? Really not a better place to do it IMO. Gray areas become much more so in the privacy of your own home.

Sorry, maybe I didn't read that correctly. Her job is to fight the insurance companies. So I guess it's a bill collector, but on the good side of the force "as it where".

There have been so many scams it's hard to tell if this is something on the up and up. From a moral stand point anyway. Neither one of us could hammer a family because they can't afford to pay medical bills.

I spent many years collecting bills. I never went the medical bill route though. Not only immoral but there really isn't any money in it. Insurance subrogation, auto deficiency balances, credit cards, etc.

I've moved into the 1st party side of it and currently work as a credit manager for a manufacturing company. But, in my experiences you can usually tell if you're dealing with a scam before you get started. If no red flags have gone off by now, they probably won't. Good luck with it.

I don't know if this helps, but here's a response to a similar question on yahoo answers. A/R is mentioned as an option on there. The main thing I gather is that if they expect you to pay money for the position there's a good chance it's not legit.

From everything we have read on the site and the job posting they are not asking you to invest. They are hiring starting out at the average base range salary of an account billing / receivable specialist. Our main concern is how reputable the company is.

Personally I would hate to work at home. I would get way to distracted to get work done.

I don't know anything about this business or their model, Mr. R&GHomer. But I started working from home quite a bit about a year ago and my main advice is this; Padlock the refrigerator door.

To each their own I guess. I liked working from home. Always seemed to get more done. I guess the hope is to try and incorporate this with her regular job. I know I've been looking for a job repairing computers at home to try and supplement the family income, no shite, I'm good at it. If I could catch a deal with dell, hp, ibm, etc... I would do it in a heart beat. I have literally fixed thousands of their machines.... $50.00 warranty a shot. That's just laptop's and desktop.... not to mention servers, routers, switches, blades etc... just not sure how to get into it.

A repair type job I could see, but what your wife is looking to do would drive me nuts. I would be watching tv or on here something like that.

:) The great thing about Mrs. Homer is she honestly loves helping people. She actually enjoys sticking it to the insurance companies. I love that Woman.

Whomever. When I started working from home a few days a week, I gained 5 pounds in about a month. It was unbelievable. A little stress? Let's have some cheerios!!! Long phone call? Hey! Ice cream!!! Put some chocolate sauce on that bad boy!!! Made a sale? Awesome!!! Let's celebrate with the left over meat loaf!!!

When the fridge is that convenient, bad things are certain to follow, Mr. R&GHomer.
