Home humidifier?

I'd like to get a humidifier installed in my house that will humidify the entire home - I understand they are installed "on" the furnace or whatnot. How much do these generally run, with labor? House is 2100 sq ft.

Good question Saul....i have often thought about this....i will be watching this thread closely.

I'm not sure what they cost, ours was installed when we built the house. However, huge difference when it's shut down in the winter. I crank it up at times and it makes the house feel much warmer at lower temps. We have the honeywell add on attached to a Lennox furnace . BTW Saul, our house is a story and 1/2 and around 2200 square feet.

It's a 3-4 hour job, typically. So, $150-250 roughly for an actual HVAC tech plus the cost of the humidifier which is anywhere from $100 up to $500. We installed one for one of my friends last fall for $100 but that was the very close friend, wives = BFF deal.
