Your opinion....Should the Chiefs move to a 3-4?
 

Maybe I've missed it, and maybe it's a repost....but I'm gonna do it anyway.

I've heard and read the same rumors as everyone else...but still haven't gotten a sense of whether there is really a SERIOUS chance of it happening. My sense is, despite the rumors....that it's unlikely this year; I just don't see it. Maybe they'll head that way, but I can't see it for next year.

Thoughts??? I'm just interested in what others think/are hearing. :shrug:

Meh....we're a couple of years away from being a complete football team IMO so we could afford to go either way. I'm fine with either scheme or a hybrid of both as long as we attack the QB and get aggresive whichever type of scheme we decide to run.

There's so much talent on this team defensively that there's almost no way you could justify the switch.

What would happen to Tamba? DJ?

It's not like the defense can get much worse than last year. They can suck in a 4-3 or in a 3-4, really doesnt matter. But if they are gonna switch, this is the year to do it.

DJ will do fine IMO, as for Tamba he is becoming more and more of a bust IMO. He defintely hasn't played up to expectations of his draft pick.:shake: He'd probably be a rotational player in a 3-4.

In the long run, we will be better served.

Well, reflecting on Haley comments, he builds around the players he has. He doesn't have the players for 3-4 (unless he gets froggy in FA and the draft), so I say, it is not likely but they might try it in certain situations.

I'm serious; not being critical. Aren't 3-4 personnel more difficult to come-by?

I think we should use both.

See, THAT is the problem I see.....we have some talented, if unspectacular, players who would not thrive in a 3-4, and might actually whither on the bench if we make the switch.

Only the nose tackle. Everything else is easier to find.

I'd say Tamba has played up to expectations. He was a high motor guy who was pretty polished coming out. It wasn't a great selection.

There's not much to say about DJ. He's been very disappointing and has demonstrated why he was available at #15.

Obviously, I was joking. The roster is short on talent.

It's harder to find players for, and we already have players with a great amount of talent who can play in a 4-3.
