What do you guys think of Nate Washington?
For some reason, I overlooked him on the UFA list previously and didn't notice him there until earlier tonight. I saw him make several big plays late in the year and all the way through the playoffs. He caught 40 passes for 631 yds as Pittsburgh's #3 receiver behind Ward and Holmes during the regular season. It seems that he'd fill our need for a deep threat that would compliment Bowe pretty well. He won't turn 26 until August so he's still got some upside and he's gotten progressively better each of the four seasons he's been in the league.
Now that Antonio Bryant has been Franchised anyway, there really aren't too many other impact receivers out there for us. I'd put Washington at the top of my WR list as I don't think he'd command too aggressive of a contract...what do you all think? |
What do I think? Well...

You guys would be great with...uhh...
Okay. Not Nate. |
I like the guy. He would be a decent addition to the WR core.

One of George's more underrated sons.

Good #3. Wouldn't want him as a 2.
|
Are the Steelers going to let him get away?

Can someone clarify all of this? It's just that it always ends up being TG, then Kennison/Bowe, and then the other WR gets squat. :-) |

I try not to.

Can't be any worse than Webb...
|
I think he can step in and immediately be as good or better than Bradley. Plus he doesn't have the injury history.

Chiefs What do you guys think of Nate Washington?
Based on what we have, I can easily see him coming in and beating out Bradley and Will Franklin for the #2 spot. It would definitely be a good sign for creating a solid battle in training camp if nothing else. In the end though, I'd see Washington starting opposite Bowe which gives us both a solid route runner/possession type receiver and now a speedy, deep threat.
