This is totally spam but it's local spam, so bear with me.

There's a kid in the LS/Greenwood area who is still in the American Idol contest; Von Smith. He'll sing Tuesday and stands a fair shot of making the final twelve.

Our paper has been there the whole time and we're following the story. It's kinda fun. Anyway, we're hosting a watch party in a pretty fun little downtown Lees Summit Jamaican restaurant. If you go, order the Marley wrap. You cannot go wrong with the Marley or their wings. If you do not believe me, come find me and I'll give you a wing off my plate to sample.

Anyway, all American Idol episodes will be on at Braata and there's a good chance I'll be there making a fool of myself. So come up and hang out during American Idol this week.

Lee's Summit has a Jamaican restaurant? Man that city has changed in the past 20 years.

Yes, it has. It's almost 100k people, has 3 high schools, and the best Chamber of Commerce in the state. Great place to live.

I'm pretty sure that if you just say "There's a good chance I'll be there," then the rest of that sentence is a little superfluous.

Its only that eyesore and blight of a town Greenwood that keeps Lees Summit from being livable. :)

And the 7th best schools in the nation(Money magazine).

Count me and the wife in for the watch party. We have been to that Jamican place and it had some great food.

Awesome. It will be cool to see you guys again. I love Braata's food. I'm a big fan.
