The name fits again

Ran today for the first time in 2 years. I had ballooned to 262 (fat) and in August decided enough was enough. I started riding my bike (on a trainer) and walking & elliptical and eating better.

I pledged to run only after I broke the 200# mark. This AM I weighed 198.5 and ran 3 miles this PM.

63.5 pounds down and 28.5 to go!

Feels good to be Runnercyclist again!

Congrats! Start off easy so you don't injure yourself. 3 miles is very good for someone who hasnt done it in a while.

LOL Too Late! :(

Although I've been working out almost daily for 6 months my legs are SCREAMING right now. I stopped by and got a big bag of Epsom salts and am headed for the hot tub!

Hey! I resemble that remark. :cuss:

Really, though, an insult on stereotypes coming from a Raider fan?

RaidersOwnYou 03-02-2009 06:53 PM

Yep.

Ditto on the congrats, and ditto on not injuring yourself. You'll set yourself way back if you do, so take it easy!

Oh, and well done on the Rayturd bash.

Thank you!

I plan on just running every third day and will stick to 3 miles for the next couple of weeks. Then I'll bump .5 mile for a couple and so on. I'd like to do some 10Ks again this summer and the the Charleston long run this fall (15 miles).

Good work. Keep it up, eat right. I bet you feel better than you have in years!

Toadkiller 03-02-2009 07:40 PM

Couch potato to 10k training program!

Oh and I stopped running for a couple months, got back on the treadmill last week, ran 3 miles felt good and then the next day the top of my foot hurt like hell and was swollen took me out another week before I stopped limping. Take it slow!
