Does anyone have UVerse?

I go through AT&T for my home phone and internet and as of right now I have Comcast in my apartment. I'm moving into a house and I was looking at activating my DirectTV service (couldn't get a signal in my apartment) but I saw that I can get UVerse through AT&T.

Does anyone have it and is it any good? What are the prices like compared to DirectTV?

My gf has it. I like it, the interface is a bit sluggish and you can't go back in time in the guide (really weird...) but it looks the best and the HD signal is much better than anything else I've seen (Comcast/TWC-RR). Internet seems OK, but it's hard to judge.

Yes. I have it. I like it, but understand why some would not.

HD quality is good, but not great.

Its cheaper on average than cable.

They offer Total home DVR now, so you can record on one box, and watch everything off of it from any other box in the home.

You can also record up to 4 programs at once. 2 HD streams. 2 SD streams.

Its also a little more tempermental than regular cable. I had an issue with the picture dropping out regularly 6 months back and they had to come out and run new wire from the outside of my home to the RG (Remote Gateway/router) that runs the whole system.

There is a thread on here somewhere about it, only a couple of months old.

The service is okay, the HD is too compressed for most people, the SD is better than most. Lots of HD Channels though. Whole home DVR is pretty nice, but some people think the DVR is lacking compared to Tivo. I don't have any issues with the DVR though, it does what I want, records new shows only if I choose, etc.

http://www.uverseusers.com/ is a good forum.

Depends on what package you want.

I only have U200 and internet. No voice. I pay about $100 a month.

in Topeka, I would cost me about $70-80 more for a comparable package to what I have with cox

I wanted Uverse but it's not available in my neighborhood. I live in LA county! WTF!!
