Website help...

So, my wife is looking to set up a website for her potential career in photography... I've looked at a few sites like I-Web and GoDaddy, and I'm not sure which is the most user friendly / cost effective. I know many of you have extensive backgrounds in design and such, so any and all opinions and tips would be extremely helpful.

I know very little about this type of thing, but I'll mention that some friends of mine have started a photography business and have been able to pretty much build their entire web site through blogspot. That, or another piece of software like wordpress, might make your life a little easier.

I had nothing but good experience with GoDaddy.

Is it fairly easy to navigate? If you don't mind me asking, what types of business do you run through it?

GoDaddy. I've had absolutely no problem with them, and they are very affordable.

BTW- I did a photographer's website a couple of years ago- let me know if you're looking for someone to design a site for you.

Checked out your sites. I really thought the hotel one was really cool. Loved the flash and being able to navigate the site without interrupting the biloxi song. Very nice work.

Just so you know, on your website, in your flash portfolio, several of the descriptions get the bottom left corners blocked out by one of your images.

Oh man, thanks for pointing that out. I had gone into that page and done some work recently, and had apparently changed the order of some of the layers. I'll fix it pronto. Again, thanks for letting me know!!

EDIT: This glitch has been corrected and uploaded.

Godaddy is a registrar first, webhost second. They have nothign to do with the design of your site.

As far as hosting goes... I would recommend www.networkredux.com.

As far as building your site it all depends on what you want it to do.

This is a very good point. The easiest part of the process is getting the domain. That's a simple 5 minute process. It's the hosting and creation that really needs to be planned for.
