Late night bullshit.

I'm drawing WAAAAAY outside the lines on this one. So fire at will. Or, in more typical CP fashion, just insult me.

1. WR Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech

I know this will cause a few .gifs animating hatred in its various forms, but we're all at least a little intrigued by this guy. I don't think there's any depth whatsoever at WR in this Draft, and with Crabtree, we have a good shot at an actually lethal WR corps.

3. OLB Lawrence Sidbury, Richmond

This pick will be popular here. I find it unlikely because of Pioli's aversion to smaller schools, but Sidbury off the edges seems to be tempting. OLB is a huge need.

4. NT Chris Baker, Hampton

Unlike OLB, the Chiefs actually seem to have a guy or two who can pretend to be NT for a year or so. Baker is a great midround prospect for the position. Again, it violates Pioli's aversion to small-schoolers. But it's hard not to be enthused about a guy this big and this athletic.

5. C A.Q. Shipley, Penn State

Any chance A.Q. falls this far? If so, it's a no brainer with this draft. Smart, effective run-blocker.

6. OT Andrew Gardner, Georgia Tech

Gardner is a measurables prospect whose specialty is clearly run-blocking. RTotF?

7. OLB Kirston Pittman, LSU

Good size, great speed. Didn't produce much in college but I'll take an LSU linebacker in the 7th round any day of the week. We neeeeeeed depth at this position.

7. DE Brigham Harwell, UCLA

Harwell had a pretty good year this year coming off a serious injury. His Croyle-like injury history will limit his usage, but we can take a shot this late.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Chiefs need another wide-out and Crabtree is generally regarded as the best. Of the several TT games I watched with past season, he was, without question, the best player on the field.

Seems to be a 40 yard dash phenom, which jacks him up the boards on a lot of mocks. 11.5 sacks, but at a D-II school. I don't know if I'd have the balls to draft a guy like this in the third round. He'd have to be a real baby eater like Jared Allen, otherwise, we've basically got the same guy on our roster in Brian Johnston.

Interesting guy, but there is no way in hell Pioli takes a guy with this much baggage. I mean, you'd have to screw up something fierce to have this much talent and get kicked out of Penn State.

None whatsoever. Guy will probably be starting from day one his rookie year and play for 13 years in the league.

Insert OL prospect here...Gardner would be as good as anyone I suppose. Take a look at Travis Bright from BYU around this area (round 6-7) as well. I think he's got more potential than his higher ranked teammate Feinga (who would also be viable for a look here).

If Mortty Ivy of WV is available, I'd take him over Pittman.

Looks like he was productive earlier in his college career than later. Injured a lot. Perhaps a kicker here instead?

I like the chances you took with the smaller school guys. A mock with a little more variety than usual.

I'm a little wary of Shipley, he had by far the shortest arms of any C at the combine. I wouldn't be surprised to see him last that long, especially with the deep class.

Why do you keep concentrating on defensive players when it's a well known fact that this draft is ****ing weak on the defensive side of the ball? AND, you virtually ignore the offensive line, which by the way currently sucks epic ass, yet this is one of the best drafts for O-lineman in decades (if not ever) and you don't choose to address it until the 5th round?

This is draft would be one that would have a good shot of yielding us a big whiff.

I don't see us taking Crabtree under any circumstances. I would be really surprised.

I don't like it, no real reason. Just don't like the talent. We could discuss (again, some more) who we should take at 3, but we've been over that.

I think this POSITION would be a good pick here, but admittedly I know nothing about the guy.

With the amount of teams switching to 3-4 and the critical need of the position within the 3-4, I'm doubting we could pick up a guy this low. If he's available, I have to question if he is worth a shit.

Not one of my favorite centers. If we get one, we need him to start, IMO

Prefer him to be the RTotNOW, but that's OK. RT has to get replaced this year. Not sure if this is the pick to do it. IMO, we have a decent guy in Richardson that can be our RTotF, until we work at developing him a bit to see what we have. If the guy can't start, I think we would be better served drafting a different position. JMO.

Meh, don't really like it. I would have liked to get some OL, or a burner WR or some other project here.
