How much is the draft going to suck....

...if they don't trade out of the three hole?

I don't actually mean that as a statement about any particular player, but I can't image watching the Chiefs draft whatever it is, a half hour or 45 minutes into it on Saturday, and then not doing anything at all until Sunday.

That would be brutal.

No way the draft is fun.

Mr. Arrowhead 04-22-2009 04:21 PM

its almost better than the super bowl

I like to see what happens with every team and player, not just the Chiefs.

Well, I suppose instead of complaining all day about who we pick, we'll be able to complain about who we're not picking because we traded for Cassel.

There is that.

Spott 04-22-2009 04:24 PM

I think it would be fine. We can get that pick over in the first 30 minutes and the rest of the day is freed up to do whatever you want to do.

No way you have to watch the whole thing.

the Talking Can 04-22-2009 04:25 PM

still love the draft

but sure, the more picks the more fun....last year was a blast

i'd put odds at 80% that we acquire another pick in the first 3 rounds whether by trading a player or the #3....

My son's second birthday party is on Saturday (blame the wife...). Needless to say, I'll have to get creative to see every pick, but I'm hoping to pull it off.

I wonder how many people actually do that? I do watch quite a bit of the draft myself though not the whole thing.

It doesn't start till 3 just make the kids get up early.

I'm excited either way. I think the chances of trading out of the third spot are slim. I do want to watch what the draft brings in the second round because you never know when Pioli might unload Gonzalez or Waters.

I missed a couple picks last year because I overslept on Sunday morning 10 am is pretty early for me.

kysirsoze 04-22-2009 04:27 PM

Last year's draft was badass and we won two games. I'll go with a tame draft and exciting season, please.
