Fat E's Wow-wow zone left field draft day prognostication

Detroit is 30M under the cap, apparently.

The big draft day shocker is that they will move back into the top five to grab one of the elite OTs to protect thier new franchise QB.

They give up the #20 this year, next year's first round pick and perhaps a second or third this year to do it.

This is my "no one saw that one coming" (myself included) surprise of the day.

The Chiefs are reportedly "trying hard" to trade down and recently offered the No. 3 overall pick to Detroit, but were turned down.
The deal would've sent the No. 3 pick and Kansas City's fourth-rounder for the Lions' No. 20 pick and the No. 33 pick. The Lions can't afford to sign Matt Stafford, then the No. 3 overall pick, so it was an easy decision.

Swap firsts, swap their second with our fourth.

We're desperate.

They can stay at 20 and get a LT at a fraction of the cost.

I doubt this, a lot.

They might be able to grab Oher @ 20

Too bad Millen is no longer running the show...Crabtree would be a very happy man this morning.

That would be desperate. That would be about 1400 points for a pick valued at 2400. That would be truly desperate.
